The "Headache Factor" in Modern Optics
Have you ever worn a pair of "designer" sunglasses for a few hours only to end up with a dull headache or a strange sensation of "eye-pull"? Most people blame the frame fit, but the culprit is usually the lens material itself. Industry-standard polycarbonate lenses are typically manufactured using high-pressure injection molding. While this process is fast and cheap, it creates a significant optical flaw: Internal Stress.
During the injection molding process, molten plastic is forced into a mold under extreme pressure and then cooled rapidly. This causes the polymer chains to "freeze" in a state of high tension. When light passes through this stressed material, it doesn't travel in a straight line; it encounters microscopic "swirls" and irregularities in the material's density. This creates an inconsistent optical path that forces your brain to work harder to "correct" the image, leading to neurological fatigue and lens-induced headaches.
Upgrade to NYDEF® optics and see the world in high-definition clarity.

Popticals NYDEF® lenses are engineered to solve this conflict. Rather than being high-pressure molded, our polyamide is "Liquid-Cast". This specialized casting process allows the material to settle naturally, creating an isotropic optical path—one that is completely free of internal tension. Because there is no "frozen" stress in the lens, light passes through perfectly straight, just as it would through high-quality organic glass.
By eliminating this "eye-pull," NYDEF® lenses provide a much more relaxed visual experience. You can wear Popticals for 8 hours or more without feeling the cognitive strain common with mass-market brands. It’s the difference between a lens that works against your brain and one that works with it. When you choose Zero-Stress casting, you aren't just choosing clarity; you’re choosing all-day comfort and long-term eye health.
Premium, cutting-edge eyewear designed for peak performance and visual clarity wherever your adventures take you.
