POPTICALS SKI SUNGLASSES

There’s nothing like a bluebird day when you can stash your goggles and replace them with sunglasses. And there are no sunglasses better suited to the mountain than Popticals. Our NYDEF® nylon-based lenses—which are 20% clearer and lighter in weight than polycarbonate lenses used in most other sunglasses—enable you to better see the mountain’s contours, snow coverage and ideal lines as never before.

And on goggle days, your Popticals, collapsed snugly in their case, fit comfortably and safely in your ski jacket—without the same bulge as other sunglasses. You’ll have them right at hand for apres ski deployment.

Recommended Lens Color: For all-mountain use, we recommend a lens with a gray base and a green or blue mirror. For brighter days, gray may provide optimal light dampening; for cloudier days, copper may optimize light enrichment

Given the light amplification often present in ski environments, we recommend considering mirroring, which reflects light away from your eyes, providing additional protection and visual clarity. Also, we recommend against using polarized lenses for skiing. While highly effective in reducing glare, polarized lenses flatten images and affect depth perception. Non-polarized NYDEF® lenses keep depth of field intact and allow you to see reflected light that helps distinguish contours and snow coverage on the mountain.
