It is. The FL2 Micro-Rail System™ is built with stainless steel and high-performance polymers. When locked in the "open" position, the frames are rigid and secure. The sliding mechanism is designed to be "fail-safe"—it won't collapse while you’re wearing them, but it allows you to stow them instantly when the mission is over.

We use Grilamid® TR90 for our frames, which is thin and flexible enough to fit comfortably under ballistic helmets and over-the-ear communication headsets without creating painful pressure points.
