Maximize Your Vision. Master the Course.

To truly gain a competitive edge, your visual strategy needs to start before you even reach the first tee. NYDEF® Golf sunglasses are highly engineered tools, and knowing how to utilize them properly will transform how you navigate the fairway and read the green. Here is your official guide to maximizing your visual performance.

    Phase 1: Arrival & Warm-Up

Put your sunglasses on as soon as you arrive at the course. Giving your eyes 15 to 20 minutes to adjust to the purple/violet tint before your first swing allows your brain to seamlessly adapt to the enhanced contrast.

The golden rule of NYDEF® Golf is to keep them on. Taking your glasses off and putting them back on forces your pupils to rapidly dilate and constrict. This "pupil shock" leads to squinting, dry eyes, and facial tension. By leaving them on, you preserve your physical energy for the back nine.

Phase 2: During the Round (Tee to Green)

    • On the Tee & In the Air: Golf balls easily get lost in the overwhelming blue and green background of a course. Because our lenses mute those background greens, the bright white of the golf ball will "pop" with significantly higher contrast, making tracking effortless.
    • Navigating the Fairway: Your lenses are intentionally non-polarized to preserve your 3D depth perception. Scan for shadows down the fairway; the lenses will highlight subtle dark shadows that indicate hidden dips or thicker patches of rough.

Mastering the Green: The Side-View Method

The violet tint separates the monochromatic green of the putting surface into readable data. Do not rely solely on reading your putt from directly behind the ball. Instead, walk halfway between your ball and the hole, and view the line of your putt from a side angle.

    • If the grass looks DARKER: The grass is growing toward you. You are putting against the grain or uphill, so expect a slower putt.
    • If the grass looks LIGHTER (or shiny): The grass is growing away from you. You are putting with the grain or downhill, so expect a faster putt.

Resist the urge to lift your glasses to double-check the read; your naked eye cannot separate the shades of green as effectively as the NYDEF® filter.

    Phase 3: Deployment & Maintenance

When you are ready to pack them away, pull gently at the center bridge to disengage the magnet, and slide the frames smoothly along the stainless steel tracks. Always store your collapsed sunglasses in their protective hard shell case—do not throw them loose into your golf bag where tees can scratch the lenses.

Your lenses feature a premium Ri-Pel® coating that repels sweat and sunscreen. If they get heavily soiled, rinse them under lukewarm tap water before wiping them with your provided microfiber cloth. Never use a gritty golf towel on your optics!

    Upgrade Your Game

Stop guessing on the greens. Experience uncompromised clarity and depth perception with NYDEF® GOLF lenses.
