While polarized lenses are great for water, they can be a fatal flaw in tactical and industrial environments.
The Liability
Polarized lenses clash with digital screens, causing GPS devices, dash displays, smartphones, and even electronic red dot sights to completely "black out" at certain viewing angles.

Are these lenses actually Ballistic Rated?
Yes. POPZULU lenses are rigorously tested to meet and exceed both ANSI Z87.1+ high-mass/high-velocity impact standards, as well as MIL-PRF-32432 military ballistic fragmentation standards. They are designed for mission-critical deployment.
Why are these intentionally NON-polarized?
In tactical, law enforcement, and industrial environments, polarization can be a liability. Polarized lenses can cause digital screens (like smartphones, dash displays, and GPS devices) to completely black out. They can also interfere with the reticles on certain electronic red dot sights. We keep them non-polarized to ensure 100% optical reliability.
Will these give me a headache under my ear muffs?
No. Standard safety glasses have rigid temples that dig into your skull when clamped down by electronic ear muffs. Our frames are built from Grilamid® TR90 memory polymer with an ultra-thin profile that slides flush against your head, eliminating pressure-point migraines and keeping your acoustic noise-canceling seal intact.

Will they fall off during tactical movement or heavy recoil?
No. The Swiss Grilamid® TR90 memory polymer flexes to grip your head securely without reliance on clamping force. Additionally, the frames feature integrated temple ports to snap in the included quick-connect retention strap for a zero-slip hold during dynamic breaching or sprinting.
Will the moving rails get jammed with sand, dirt, or mud?
The FL2 Micro-Rail System™ uses an "open-track" architecture made of precision-machined, high-tensile stainless steel. There are no enclosed gears to get jammed. If exposed to heavy grit or mud, simply rinse the frames with fresh water to clear the tracks. They will never rust.
Is a "folding" frame actually strong enough for tactical use?
Yes. The stainless steel tracks absorb energy rather than snapping like standard polymer hinges. To guarantee structural integrity, the frame features a flush-mount safety latch. Once locked, it creates a completely rigid, fail-safe chassis that cannot mechanically collapse while you are wearing it.
Will the frames warp if I leave them in my cruiser or gear bag?
No. Unlike generic polycarbonate safety glasses that warp in high heat, Swiss Grilamid® TR90 is thermally stable up to 80°C (176°F). They maintain their original calibrated fit regardless of cabin temperatures or austere conditions.

Can I just throw them loose into my gear bag when my shift is over?
We strongly advise against it. Loose brass, heavy tools, and zippers can easily scratch premium optics. Always collapse your POPZULU frames into their protective hardshell vault. Because the footprint is so small, it takes up zero space inside your bag, or you can clip it directly to the outside via the integrated carabiner.
How should I clean the lenses on the job site or range?
NEVER use your uniform shirt or a range towel. Rough fabrics hold microscopic sand, carbon, and dirt that will permanently scratch premium optical coatings. Always use the provided microfiber cloth. For the hardshell case itself, a simple wipe down with a damp cloth works perfectly.
Will the glasses rattle around in the case during heavy movement?
No. The interior is precision-molded specifically for the collapsed FL2 Micro-Rail System™. This mechanical "cradle" architecture ensures that the rail system remains perfectly aligned and secure, even during heavy vehicle vibration or running.

If your new tactical eyewear isn't the perfect fit for your kit, you may return any pair purchased directly from Popticals.com for a full refund within 30 days of receiving your order. To be eligible, items must be unworn, unused, in perfect resalable condition, and returned in the original packaging including the hardshell vault and all accessories.
*Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs and assume the risk of loss during transit; a trackable parcel service is highly recommended.

2-Year Manufacturer Warranty
Every pair is protected by a two-year warranty from the original purchase date against manufacturer's defects in materials or workmanship. If the FL2 Micro-Rail System™ or TR90 frame fails under normal use conditions, we will repair or replace the product at no charge.
What Is Not Covered?
The manufacturer's warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including scratched lenses, or damage caused by extreme field abuse or improper usage. (However, we offer assistance for this through our Accidental Replacement Program!).
Our unique program for active duty and industrial environments. If you manage to break your frames outside of the standard warranty, we've got your back.
$75 Accidental Replacement
Accidents happen on the job site or at the range. If you accidentally damage your POPZULU frames (scratched lenses, frame breakage, crushed lenses, etc.), you are eligible for a one-time replacement for a flat $75 fee within 2 years of purchase. Simply send us the damaged frames, pay the flat fee, and we will deploy a brand new pair of equal or lesser value.
Program Guidelines
This program covers comprehensive damage, but excludes lost or stolen eye-pro. Please note this is a one-time exchange, meaning the replacement pair itself is not eligible for another $75 exchange later on.
